Cottagecore Dreams in Andalusia
The aesthetics of simple life in a place where time slows down. Olive groves reaching the horizon, old cortijos, and pastoral landscapes against the southern sun.

There's a special kind of magic when morning light filters through lace curtains, steam rises from a ceramic cup, and flowers rest in a wicker basket. Time slows down. This is cottagecore—not a trend, but a return to slowness, to beauty in small things, and to stories that whisper rather than shout.
The Essence
Cottagecore photography is poetry made visible: the art of noticing a handwritten letter with ink still wet or the light of a candle. These are moments that ask us to stop and remember what's important. Breakfast on a shady patio with homemade bread, long walks in the mountains, a picnic in olive groves or blooming almond orchards.

A Story of Slowing Down and Connection with Nature
It's a story about finding beauty in simple things. About nature, about simple daily life, about the ability to notice.

Props
Use paper, ink, and sealing wax; gather fresh flowers to bring nature indoors. For a photoshoot in the mountains, use a blanket, beautiful cups, and wicker baskets.

Where to Find It
In the countryside, we find olive groves with golden light, abandoned cortijos, and meadows with poppies. Hidden corners like the Carmen gardens in the Albaicín and streets with geraniums, olive orchards against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Natural spaces—poppy fields, almond orchards, and forest trails—provide the perfect backdrop.

The Story Matters
Morning rituals by the window, reading in the shade, or evening letters by candlelight. This is slow living that becomes a story in our frames.
When to Shoot
In January, almond trees bloom around Granada; in February, mimosa; in March, wisteria blooms; a little later, poppies and roses, followed by sunflowers. Orange orchards, blooming bougainvillea... Autumn gives us photoshoots with golden leaves and red grapes.

What to Wear
Forget trends and choose something timeless: breathable linen, lace, and flowing fabrics. Use earthy tones and pastels, focusing on textures.
